Nightborn: Lords of the Darkyn
I am quite glad that I listened to this story before I read the rest of the Darkyn series. For the most part, the Darkyn series by Lynn Viehl is a very average Paranormal series. Though I like the general storyline, the writing is not smooth and there are a lot of things that are thoroughly confusing. But this new spin off series, The Lords of the Darkyn, is much smoother. Having read this first means that I will read the future books. In this book, Korvel, Richard's second in command, is sent to France to recover a priceless set of scrolls. Unfortunately, the scrolls have been stolen and Korvel's tresora, Simone, is also trying to find the scrolls. Together, the two are trying to save these scrolls that have a long history with the Darkyn.
