The Seduction of Miss Amelia Bell (The MacGregors: Highland Heirs)
At first, I didn't plan to read and review this book, but to only participate in the blog tour. For me, Historicals aren't as appealing as they once were and I just wasn't in the mood. Then I realized who the book was about and I knew I just had to read it!
This book is the first in a new series by Paula Quinn that branches off of both her two previous Highlander series. Each series deals with a different generation of the same family and in this one, we get the adopted son of Colin from Conquered by a Highlander. Edmund MacGregor is a Scottish patriot determined to do whatever he must to keep Scotland from English tyranny. Like his father and uncles before him, he is determined to do his part in the fight. When he and his cousins come up with a plan to kidnap the one woman who was the fiancee of the chancellor, they figured they would be able to stop the passage of a law that would subjugate Scotland to the English. But Edmund never imagined that the plot would lead to much more for him.
