The Window Seat on a Rainy Day

Though I usually don’t do Young Adult books, this one got sent to us and it intrigued me with its paranormal overtones. It is the beginning of a new series and I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to teenage girls.

Gemma and Harper are pretty average teenagers. They are sisters who are dealing with good things and bad. Though their mother is living in a home after a brain injury and their father is struggling with the fall out, the two have some good things going on, too. Both are being pursued by nice local guys, Gemma is training for the Olympics, and Harper is ready to go to college in the fall. Things could be better, but they could also definitely be worse. And then Gemma comes to the attention of the “new girls” in town.
